Today I will be reviewing two Delta flights. I hope you enjoy reading it. Delta Flight 2389 On board this flight I traveled in Economy and it was absolutely stunning. This flight I traveled on a Boeing 767-300 series which was a very good one. As in the previous post I said that the wifi offered by gogo was not very good but I am going to take it back because I was able to use it without any problem. The wifi was stunningly fast and I was able to post pictures rather quickly. Delta offers a special menu called Eats which offers breakfast and lunch/dinner. I tried the Smoked Turkey Bagel Sandwich which was delicious and not bad at all. While flying I got to try out a new tracking system on board the aircraft which was stunningly amazing but does need to have some changes such as it could use an interactive guide to sights or interesting places you are flying over, faster updating, a 3D view; otherwise I was glad to see that Delta has updated their in flight tracking system. The flight crew was very helpful and was always willing to help with anything that the passengers needed. As we flew into Detroit it began to get a little bumpy and while on the final approach we hit the rain and I mean it started to come down. As we got to the gate it was a quick deboarding process. As we got off it was raining very hard and even had lighting and thunder which closed the airport. I am saddened that I didn’t get to have one of Delta’s famous Biscoff cookies but I will try to on the flight back to San Francisco. Delta Flight 142 This flight was an international flight on an aircraft that I had never traveled on before but was very sleek and fast. Before we boarded the aircraft the captain came out and spoke to everyone about the plane and explained about the layout of the Business Elite class and the Economy section. After the airport reopened we were all let to board by our zones and Business class was first of course. We waited a good 20-30 minutes to get out of the gate but it made no difference. Interestingly enough there were many empty seats in the Economy comfort section and the economy section, what I had heard was that 60 passengers had missed the plane and we were given a lot of extra room on board. After we got out of the gate we got to the runaway where we got up in the air and flew into the sunset over Canadian airspace. While flying I was able to recharge my phone and camera battery with the under seat power outlets and USB. We were given a small snack before dinner which was pretzels and peanuts. For dinner there was a choice of pasta, southwest chicken, or salad. I had the pasta which was good but could have used a little bit more marinara sauce, I also tried a piece of the Southwest chicken which was delicious. For desert we had a small chocolate bar which was good for a meal like we had. As I said before around 60 people had missed the plane so we were able to stretch out and have a little extra space to sleep. I couldn’t sleep as usual but I was able to watch the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean, which was a sight not to be missed. As we began to edge closer to Germany we were served a small breakfast which was an egg sandwich with a banana and orange juice. Flying into Frankfurt was very good and it is also another sight not to be missed. After landing we taxied to our gate and I was able to catch the Fanhansa plane by Lufthansa. After deplaning we took a long walk to passport control and then to the baggage claim which was very quick. Both flights were amazing and a great way to start my vacation. Frankfurt Offenbach This city is very interesting and full of a lot of shops and interesting food options. Interestingly enough they have KFC here in Germany and I was shocked. For dinner we ate at a German version of a sports bar which was interesting and I would say like an American sports bar. Now that I am here in Germany I am hoping you all enjoy what is to come and what I have just written! Have a wonderful day and have fun too! Photos from the trip
