On-board Delta flight 6440 which is operated by Compass Airlines on an ERJ-175 aircraft the service was what you would never expect on a small commuter plane. I have to say that the only down side was that while trying to connect to the gogo Wi-Fi it would redirect me and by the time I was able to redeem my pass we had begun our final into San Francisco. The best part of the flight was that all passengers were given a small snack box that had ample food for a 59 minute flight. The snack box was crafted from LYFE Kitchen offered on my flight: LYFE Kitchen’s signature Edamame Hummus with fresh cut veggies, crisp flax seed crackers and salt-roasted pepita and sunflower seeds. The best thing from all of that was the Hummus which was very flavorful. But there are other offerings too for the A.M. flights and there is another option that is available for the P.M. flights. All of Delta’s LAX-SFO shuttle flights depart and arrive at gate 51A in terminal 5 in Los Angeles and they arrive in terminal 1 in San Francisco. The popularity of the flight is a very noticeable one. We passed over Channel Islands and parts of inland California. Being in Economy Comfort is good but it honestly doesn’t matter which class you’re in it is absolutely stunning. The flight got off and in a short time we were in San Francisco. Another down side about flying out of LAX with Delta is the extremely long lines for security; I would highly recommend getting the TSA precheck which is a smarter way to travel, since I had to wait in the normal non-precheck line for a good 30 minutes. This might be caused by Delta renovating their terminal in LA. But all in all the flight and the crew itself were very kind and helpful which made the flight a lot more enjoyable. Since I personally have never flown into SFO or San Francisco for my non-aviation readers, the terminal Delta flies into itself is an amazing sight, Delta also shares the terminal with Frontier airlines, the terminal is very clean, quiet, offers great views from either side of aircraft landing and taking off, and is filled with art which is exquisite.
